The Franschhoek La Motte Classical Music Festival 2009

30 Oct-1 Nov 2009. The La Motte Estate in Franschhoek is the new title sponsor of the Franschhoek La Motte Classical Music Festival 2009 and will host the opening concert.

Fresh talent that will be featured during the three-day festival includes the Mozart Clarinet Concerto KKNK prizewinner, Matthew Reid, and Ben Schoemann (UNISA International Prize Winner), who performs a melodious piano recital. The highly acclaimed Libertas Choir will perform its masterpiece Jericho, which includes music from Bach, Handel and Mendelssohn, all perfectly combined with African sounds and lyrics. Another scheduled highlight is a garden concert guitar and piano duel between James Grace and Christopher Duigan.
