4-7 Nov 2009. Johannesburg-based Mzanzi Productions presents its innvoative version of the Russian fairytale ballet composed by Tchaikovsky in 1891. In it choreographers Adele Blank and David Gouldi have mixed different genres including classical, neoclassical and modern dance. The cast includes Kitty Phetla, Craig Arnolds, Capetonians Yarisha Singh and Gisela Iles and former Cape Town City Balllet soloist Reika Sato, as well as a number of young dancers from ballet studios around Cape Town, who will play the children of the show.
