Wamama Na Kazi

The three women in this group exhibition explore the roles of women. The artists are Maryann Muthoni, Caroline Mbirua and Esther Mukuhi.

Muthoni is based at the Kuona Trust Studios as a full-time artist. She works in thick oils on canvas and is also a print maker and has painted murals. Mbirua is a graduate from the Creative Art Centre in Nairobi and is influenced by the colour, landscapes and the figures of the Maasai in her home area in the Kajiado district south of Nairobi.

Mukuhi joined the GoDown Arts Centre after school and still exhibits there. She often works with beads on canvas.
