Ogba

Ogba, about five kilometres west of Ikeja, is a densely populated area with a mix of housing for high- and low-income earners.

However, rents at the top end are lower than in Allen Avenue and Omole Estates. Accommodation is in simple but pleasant apartments on housing estates; an unfurnished three-bedroom flat rents for between N250,000 and N500,000 per annum.

Ogba is located at the heart of Lagos metropolis and is therefore easily accessible by bus and taxi. Commercial motor cycles are also in use. However, the road network is bad and traffic can sometimes be heavy, especially during rush hour.

There is a police post in the centre of Ogba and some residents also engage the services of private security agents for additional security. Ogba has a popular Sunday market patronized by people from all over Lagos, an evening/night market and a handful of shopping malls. Small hotels, guest houses, eateries and drinking bars provide the only real relaxation in the area.
