Hub of Africa fashion show in Addis Ababa

 A sustainable development-themed fashion show is being held in Addis Ababa from 25 - 27 April.

The Hub of Africa fashion show is designed to showcase the creations of young African designers from Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and Tanzania.

The event’s eco-friendly theme is “Unite the Fashion Industry for Sustainable Development" and its awards include the chance to participate in Africa Fashion Week in New York and at Ethical Fashion Week in Paris, as well as the Retailer award which involves a major department store commissioning the winning designer to produce and manufacture a range of clothes.

There are symposiums scheduled and a trade show for 100 exhibitors from Africa’s fashion sector including manufacturers, fabric suppliers, buyers and designers.
