The government has decided to resurrect the national sports festival in a bid to unearth new talent in the various sporting disciplines, Ghana news agency reports. The festival, once an annual event, has not been held for several years.

The festival, organised by the National Sports Council (NSC), will probably be held in November in the capital Accra.

NSC head Worlanyo Agrah told the news agency that local championships are underway to establish who will compete at national level.
