Saudi Airlines Cargo is launching a weekly freight flight to Accra's Kotoka International Airport beginning from 25 March.
The new service is in addition to the Saudi-based company’s cargo routes to Nairobi, Lagos, Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Johannesburg and N’djamena, capital of Chad.
The company cited the recently-opened Perishable Cargo Centre at Kotoka, for post-harvest produce, as being central to their decision to expand into Accra.
The move by Saudi Airlines follows the recent launch of a weekly freight service by Emirates Sky Cargo between Accra and Dubai.
