18 July-4 Aug 2006. Mozambican artists David Mbonzo and Tembo Joao Danca present the outcome of their participation in the Notes to Home project organised by the Joubert Park Project at the Drill Hall cultural and community centre in Johannesburg. The project consists of a residency programme for African artists from countries that have significant populations living in the inner city of Johannesburg. Participants engage with their communities in the city and the resulting work created is the note to home of the project title, which is then exhibited in their city of origin. Maputo is the first partner city in the project, which also involves artists from Luanda (Angola), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Harare (Zimbabwe).
