From 15 May 2007. The South African National Gallery presents a retrospective of the work of the late artist Cyprian Mpho Shilakoe. The exhibition contains prints, sculptures and paintings from public and private collections and includes eight recently discovered early works that are on display in South Africa for the first time. Born in the Eastern Transvaal in 1946, Shilakoe studied at the arts and crafts workshop established by Swedish missionaries at Rorke
