1-29 May 2012. This exhibition, entitled Epic, displays the paintings by the Egyptian artist Medhat Shafik.
Shafik particularly likes to portray yellow deserts and colourful old markets from his country of origin, being fascinated by their sounds and shadows.
Since 1976 Shafik lives and works in Italy. He graduated in painting and stage design at the Brera School of Art in Milan. In 1995 he won the Leone d’Oro alle Nazioni prize at the Venice Biennale.
