Exhibition by Akirash.

3-19 March 2010. This exhibition, entitled Frying Pan 2 Fire, features works by the Nigerian artist Olaniyi Rasheed Akindiya, better known as Akirash. Akirash turns materials that are considered useless waste such as plastic bottles into works of art. The artist believes that art is life and has the power to re-create, heal and cure.

Akirash is a member of several artistic organizations and is an art therapist in the psychiatric hospital of Accra. He has participated in several exhibitions with special social goals around Africa, Europe and the United States.
