18 April - 12 May 2010. Meaning 'profound and spiritual conversion', Metanoia is the title of Nermine Hammam's latest exhibition of starkly graphic, digitally reworked photographs. Featuring 77 works, the exhibition examines the widespread suffering found in society and is based on the artist's personal experience. The poignant imagery would seem to request the viewer not to turn a blind eye when next faced with another's sorrow or misfortune. Metanoia follows previous exhibitions Apotheosis (2005) and Palimpsest (2007).
