1-30 October 2011. This exhibition entitled Our Bodies tell Our Stories brings together a selection of life sized self portraits of Kenyans affected by HIV. These so called Body Maps are composed of pictures, symbols and words, which represent the path that these people have taken through life. These canvases tell the stories of happiness, rights, health, illness, stigma and strength of these people.

This exhibition is part of a rich programme, which was started in 2005 by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, Art2Be (a group of Kenyan and international psychologists and artists) and TICAH (Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health), which aims to improve the self-expression, communication, resilience and acceptance of HIV-affected families.
