26 April 2012. Goethe Institut screens this German movie entitled Emma’s Bliss by Marco Kreuzpaintner.
It tells the story of Max, a car salesman in Germany, who suddenly is diagnosed with an inoperable pancreatic cancer. Knowing that he won’t live for long, he impulsively steals money and a Jaguar and decides to escape to Mexico. One day he crashes his car in a farm, run by Emma, an eccentric young girl, who rescues him. They fall in love and Emma’s pig farm turns into Max’s paradise.
