Goethe hosts the world premiere of the German movie Fisher of Kids by Steven Keen and Bastian Schneider. It tells the true story of James Kofi Annan, who was sold into Ghana´s fishing industry at age six. At the age of 13, James, who wasn’t unable to read or write managed to escape. Many years later he became a Ghanaian diplomat, one of the leading human rights activists of our time as well the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1997 to 2006. In 2012 Annan was the UN–Arab League Joint Special Representative for Syria, to help find a resolution to ongoing conflict there.
