Projection of Kinshasa Symphony

This German movie, entitled Kinshasa Symphony, is directed by Claus Wischmann and Martin Baer. This documentary film tells the story of a group of amateurs musicians and vocalists, who live in Kinshasa, one of the most chaotic cities of the world, and founded in 1994 one on the most complex systems of human cooperation ever invented, the Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste. Its rehearsals and concerts are the result of independent initiatives. This movie, which testifies how music can influence and change life, was awarded as the Most Popular Documentary Film at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2010 as well as the Best Documentary at the German Film Awards in 2011.
