18 February-2 March 2012. This exhibition, entitled Prospects of African Life, displays the colourful portraits by the Tanzanian artist Thobias Minzi.

Thobias Minzi is a self taught artist, who was born in Iseni village in the district of Mwanza in northern Tanzania. He later moved to Dar es Salaam, where he started painting in an abstract, realist and cubist style. His works are inspired by other Tanzanian artist, such as Haji Chilonga. In 2002 he joined a group of painters, better known as Namanga Art Studio. Minzi
