18-25 May 2010. This film festival, this year in its fifth edition, brings together documentary films by international filmmakers focusing on themes related to the African diaspora. The aim of the event is to stimulate reflection by African filmmakers on their own history. The line-up of films includes Roads to 2010 by Jaime Villareal, which documents life in South Africa through the story of a group of kids from Orlando Soweto one year before the beginning of the FIFA World Cup. In addition, the Ghanaian writer Manthia Diawara presents his new book on African cinema African Film: New Forms of Aesthetics and Politics.
