Walls...Colour and Time

12 January-15 February 2012. On occasion of Kempinski's European heritage and appreciation of fine art and culture, the Chocolate art gallery displays this exhibition, entitled Walls...Colours and Time, by Ayman El-Semary. On display is a series of paintings, inspired by the brightly coloured walls of rural houses in the Nile Delta region.

El-Semary explores how walls fall apart, leaving behind the spirit of time and the memories of the humans, who built those walls and lived in them. Plaster reliefs and abrasions confer a sense of depth to El-Semary
