1 December 2010. Iziko Museums celebrate the World Aids ad Emancipation Day by welcoming the public to its museums for free. Furthermore, at the TH Barry Lecture Theatre, inside the Iziko South African Museum, a documentary movie on the Meermin slave ship, entitled Slave Ship Mutiny and filmed around various Iziko Social History museums, will be projected. The screening will be followed by a mini-discussion on slavery and emancipation.
