Emotions are running high in Accra ahead of tonights World Cup match between the Ghanaian Black Stars and the Italian Azzurri in Germany. The game, which marks Ghanas first ever appearance in the international football tournament, is due to kick off in Hannover, at 21.00 local time. Ghana supporters are optimistic that the team will win; some have gone so far as to predict that the squad will make it through to the semi finals. For them, the one uncertainty seems to be the weather: will the seasonal rains in Accra hold off for long enough for them to be able to watch the match on screens outside?
