Ethiopian Airlines is to begin scheduled services to four new international destinations: Brussels (Belgium), Dakar (Senegal), Juba (south Sudan) and Libreville (Gabon). The flights to Dakar, Juba and Libreville are due to commence in March, while the Brussels service will launch in June. Ethiopian will be the first international airline to fly to the capital of oil-rich south Sudan, where there is now peace after more than two decades of civil war.

The Ethiopian national flag carrier currently serves over 50 destinations from the new airport in Addis Ababa and is in the process of expanding its fleet. It has also just introduced an e-ticketing service on its Addis Ababa-Nairobi route.
