Nearly 100 musicians have been nominated for prizes in 15 categories including artiste of the year, most popular song of the year and discovery of the year.

Names to look out for include Gospel singer Christiana Love, who has six nominations, followed by hiplife trio Praye and rapper Okyeame Kwame with five nominations each.

The prize-giving ceremony, which will take place at the International Conference Centre in Accra, marks the tenth anniversary of the prestigious music awards.

There will be a roundtable discussion at the Alisa Hotel on the rising cost of promoting music on electronic media with participation from media owners and representatives of the music industry on 1 April. Following the ceremony on 5 April there will be a public performance by award winners and visiting artistes in Independence Square.
