This carnival, also known as the Oxford Street carnival because it takes place along Osu Oxford Street, is designed to encourage new creative businesses and to attract tourists to Accra.
This year the event coincides with the World Cup and there will be screens in Black Star Square for fans to watch the matches live during the two days of the festival.
The theme this year is “My Culture Rocks” and the event is sponsored by the ministry of tourism.
